President and CEO Shantay N. Bolton, PhD, was appointed to the Near South Planning Board Board of Directors, strengthening Columbia's civic leadership in the South Loop.

淫妻社 announced that Dr. Shantay N. Bolton, President and Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Near South Planning Board (NSPB). 

The appointment establishes a direct leadership link between Chicago's premier institution for creative industries and the civic body tasked with driving the economic growth, structural development, and cultural vitality of the South Loop and surrounding historic districts. 

"淫妻社 sits at the very heart of one of the most dynamic creative cities in the world," said President Bolton. "Our campus community is deeply intertwined with the civic, economic, and cultural health of the Near South Side. Joining the Near South Planning Board is an opportunity to amplify our collective voice, ensuring that our perspective as an educational home for innovators actively informs the housing, infrastructure, and community planning that shapes our neighborhood." 

For decades, the NSPB has acted as a critical non-profit planning organization, partnering with local businesses, residents, and the city to direct thoughtful development while championing major local civic staples.  

Dr. Bolton’s appointment comes during a period of intentional transformation at 淫妻社 under her "Renaissance Rising" agenda, which prioritizes strategic partnerships and workforce integration. By securing a seat on the NSPB board, Columbia strengthens its civic footprint, carving out new pathways for student engagement, community collaboration, and localized economic impact.

I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to foster an inclusive, safe, and thriving South Loop that benefits both our neighborhood residents and our campus community."
